Chris C. Brown, 70, of Carmi passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 31, 2025. He was born in Carmi on June 4, 1954 the son of Johnny Leroy and Verla Maxine (Kiefer) Brown. Chris married Sheri A. Weil on February 3, 1989 in Henderson, KY. Chris retired after 47 years with Brown Feed and Chemical. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed making salsa and pickles, he loved to read science fiction books and attend St. Louis Cardinals games. Chris was a member of the Carmi Elks Lodge #1652 where he was a Past Exalted Ruler in 2002-2003.      Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sheri; children, Jennipher (Scott) McCormick of Evansville, IN, Keri (Tim) Jackson of Carmi, William "Bill" (Carla) Brown of Evansville, IN, and Kristin Brown of Marion, IL; grandchildren,Kahlan Brown, Paige and Cooper Jackson, Molly McCormick and Devin Marlowe; siblings, Judy (Ron) Coston of Carmi, Bill Brown of Carmi and Johnny Max (Charlotte) Brown of Palmyra, IN; and several nieces,
