Donald Ray Jordan, 77, of Carmi, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Wabash Senior Living in Carmi. He was born on June 16, 1947, in Carmi, the son of Sherman Smith and Florence (Meredith) Hoy. Donald married Virginia Cox on April 20, 1968, and she survives. He worked at General Electric in Mt. Vernon, Indiana until retirement.      In addition to his wife, Virginia Jordan of Carmi, IL, Donald is survived by his son, James Douglas Jordan; grandchildren, River Levi Jordan and Brooke Ann Jordan; brother and sisters-in-law, Donald (Martha) Cox of Mt. Vernon, IN, Rosa Lee Brown of Carmi, IL. and Nora (Dennis) Rupp of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Aaron Jordan; siblings, Wava Burnett, Donna Sluder, Jo Ann James, Mary Jane Buckner, James L. Hoy and Shirley Mae Hamilton.     There will be no services held at this time. Private burial will be in Melrose Cemetery in Carmi. Contributions may be made in Donald's
