William Michael "Mike" Smith, 77, of Norris City, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born on July 6, 1947, in Eldorado, the son of William Bland and Naomi (Boals) Smith. Mike married Jennie Elizabeth Clifford on October 16, 1970, and she survives. He was a mechanic and liked to work on cars and lawnmowers. Mike enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.     In addition to his wife Jennie Smith of Norris City, IL, Mike is survived by his children, Rebecca Tibbs and Ashly Smith, both of Norris City, IL; grandchildren, Nicholas (Makiah Shafer) Stensrud, Alexander "Mikey" (Jade Standley) Stensrud, Dustin Tibbs, Nicholas Tibbs, Ethan (Mahayla Rogers) Tibbs, Jade Tibbs, and Tristan "T.C." Tibbs; three great-grandchildren, Tinley Stensrud, Willow Stensrud and Layne Tibbs; a sister, Peggy Brewer of Norris City, IL; and a special nephew, Billy Smith.
